Sports activities day coming up in Uckfield

Uckfield Sports and Leisure Forum is planning another activities day to be held this summer.

Last year it held a “taster day” at the Victoria Pleasure Ground.

This year’s event is to be aimed at older people.

Town councillor Jeremy Hallett said: “We are proposing a competitive multi-sports event for teams of two so you can enter with a parent or friend and take part in activities linked to Uckfield clubs/organisations.”

Possible event included bowling at cricket stumps, a couple of different runs, penalty shoot outs, tennis, netball, stoolball and possibly target bowls.

The event is likely to be held in June at the rugby club.
