Holy Cross sparkling with this weekend's Christmas tree festival

Sparkling Holy Cross Church Christmas Tree Festival

Holy Cross Church, Uckfield, is aglow with sparkling Christmas trees all this weekend.

People flocked to see the displays tonight (December 2) as the event joined with the town’s late night shopping.

One unusual display was a small model railway set in a yuletide scene, presented by Albert and Avril Maton. See the short video and photographs below.  Other pictures from the festival are at the end of this article.

Many groups and businesses have decorated trees in the church with two more in the nearby Belmont Centre, where light refreshments are being served.

Entertainment is being provided at various times during the festival by singers and musicians.

The Holy Cross Christmas Tree Festival is open tomorrow Saturday (December 3) from, 10am to 6pm and on Sunday (December 4) 11.30am to 4pm, with a Christmas service at 4.30pm.

The outside of the church is being floodlit in the evening with Christmas colours. See our earlier story here which previewed the event.
