Social media accounts have been launched to ensure residents and business people are kept up to date on the Uckfield town centre regeneration project.
The new accounts, launched by the joint committee managing the regeneration, include Twitter and Facebook. There is also dedicated space on the Uckfield Town Council’s website.
The Town Centre Reinvestment Project’s new Facebook and Twitter accounts are described as providing access to ‘up-to-the-minute and accurate information’.

Cllr Mick Harker, chairman of the joint committee said: “Social media is used by a growing number of people every day either at home, at work or on the move. It’s a great way to keep everyone involved in the exciting changes now taking place to reinvigorate the town.”
A ‘Myth Buster’ initiative has also been launched to dispel any misconceptions or incorrect assumptions about the project. ‘Myth Busters’ have already started appearing in various communications, particularly the Facebook and Twitter pages.
Email addresses of residents and businesses who wish to be included in the TCR Project’s rapidly expanding email group are being collected. If you or your friends, colleagues, neighbours and relatives would like to be included, email email@example.com.
