Shorter hours at Uckfield public library from end of month

Shorter opening times for East Sussex libraries come into effect from Monday, November 28.

 The opening hours for Uckfield library will be:

  •  Monday 10am – 1pm (previously opened at 9.30am)
  •  Tuesday 10am – 4.30pm (previously 9.30am to 5.30pm)
  •  Wednesday 2pm – 4.30pm (previously 9.30am to 7pm)
  •  Thursday 10am – 6pm (previously 9.30am to 5.30pm)
  •  Friday 10am – 4.30pm (previously closed at 7pm)
  •  Saturday 10am – 4.30pm (previosuly 9.30am to 4pm)

The library service advised people there may also be other libraries open at times convenient for users, near where you live or work. The opening times of all libraries in East Sussex are available on the county council’s library webpages.

Even if the library is closed you can use the website 24/7 to renew and reserve books, update your details, search the catalogue, and access e-books and e-audiobooks.

You can also renew your books 24 hours a day through our automated renewals line by calling 0345 6080195.

Library hours are beint cut as part of the county council plan to save more than £70 million by March 2019.
