Section of Downsview Crescent to close in April

A section of Downsview Crescent, Uckfield, is to be closed for nearly a fortnight in April for roadworks.

Preparatory work under way in Downsview Crescent to provide a new electric connection for Uckfield College. A section of the road will close in April.

The closure, between Pine Walk and Manor Primary School, is scheduled between Monday, April 6, and Sunday, April 19, with a break over the Easter Bank Holiday.

It is to enable UK Power Networks to provide a new electric connection for Uckfield College.

Preparatory work is under way at the moment near Pine Walk where 70m of ducted trench is being dug ready for the cable install in April.

Notification on East Sussex County Council website says the current work will involve some carriageway incursion for barriers and pedestrians are to be diverted to the opposite footpath.
