Hoardings around the premises will be relocated and parking bays reinstated.

County councillor for Uckfield, Paul Sparks, said the scaffold and hoarding work is scheduled to take place between 7pm on Saturday, April 6, through to 8pm on Sunday, April 7.

Reinstatement of road lines will follow on from this from 7pm to midnight on Monday, April 8.

He added: “Following completion of these works, a section of temporary pedestrian railing will be installed along the top of the existing brick kerbline adjacent to the carriageway.

“This will provide the public, particularly those who are visually impaired, added security and will be removed once the hoarding has been removed and the full footway width is once again available to pedestrians.”

Parking bays near the NatWest bank were removed after the fire and once the hoardings were put in place.
