Baldwins Travel Uckfield is runner-up in travel awards

The Uckfield branch of Baldwins Travel was runner-up in the South East category of awards to find the Top 50 Travel Agencies 2019.

It was named at a ceremony in Birmingham where the company’s Tunbridge Wells branch was the category winner.

Baldwins Travel was also shortlisted in highly contested top luxury and adventure travel categories.

Chamber of Commerce donation ensures relaunch of youth club

Uckfield Chamber of Commerce ensured the re-opening of a town youth club last month by shouldering its costs for a year.

The Chamber worked with police and other community groups on the project after they came together to find ways of combatting anti-social behaviour.

Chamber diary dates:

Wednesday, May 22: Members meeting. This will be held at the Civic Centre, Uckfield, where speakers will include Jeremy Taylor, formerly of Gatwick Diamond Business Group, and now a consultant working with Gatwick Airport expansion plans. A charity slot will be taken by St Peter and St James Hospice, and town clerk Holly Goring will also speak. Book via the Chamber website here.

Friday, June 7: Lunch and Learn session. This will be the second organised by the Chamber, and will following on from the first will add to knowledge about Facebook for Business and about LinkedIn.

The session will be run by Marian Hackett of Bellamy Consultancy and Coaching. It is open to Chamber members only and you can book via the Chamber website here.

Independent mortgage and protections brokers Sentry Advice have been in Uckfield for six months now.
