Ridgewood residents are being urged to attend a meeting on Saturday (April 11) to learn about proposals for future development of the village hall and recreation ground.
It will take place from 11am to 12.30pm and will include plans to extend the hall and build a bowling green.
A drawing could also be available to show improvements that could be made to the children’s play area.
Lyn Buckingham, who lives in New Road, is urging residents to attend the meeting to make sure they keep up to date with what is going on.
She said: “I only received notice of the meeting on Saturday and am concerned that it went out during the holiday when most people were away or wouldn’t realise how important it is.
“I have blown up some of the leaflets into posters and put them up around the village in the hope of attracting more attention.”
The meeting, which will be held at Ridgewood Village Hall, has been organised with the support of Uckfield Town Council to give residents the opportunity to meet:
- representatives of the Ridgewood Village Hall Committee, to discuss, among other things, plans to extend the hall;
- representatives of Uckfield Bowls Club, to discuss their plans for a “green” on the recreation ground, subject to obtaining the necessary approvals of local authorities;
- members of the town council’s working group charged with looking at the future use of the recreation ground.
