Ridgewood Rec survey to go out

A survey of users of the Ridgewood Recreation Ground is to be undertaken by Uckfield Town Council.

Residents living within the New Road, Lewes Road and Eastbourne Road “triangle” will also be asked to give views on the future use of the ground.

The council has agreed in principle to allow Uckfield Bowls Club to establish a green on the ground. Club members would work with the village hall committee on an extension to the premises to serve as a HQ for bowlers.

The council is interested in finding people’s ideas on how the ground could be further developed.

Ideas put forward include a formal space for organised recreation (ie: 5-a-side soccer), informal recreational space, an open area, or an expanded and improved children’s play area.

Ridgewood Village Post Office has agreed to be a collection point for completed survey forms.
