Staff from Ridgewood Post Office who are keen charity fund-raisers completed a ten-mile moonlight walk on Saturday in aid of the Chestnut Tree children’s hospice.
Ellen Eastwood, Emma Taylor, and Karen Varney completed the course in Eastbourne in three hours and thirty minutes, starting at the Sovereign Centre, heading around Sovereign Harbour and then back past the pier.
The had a chocolate stop at seven miles before turning back along the seafront. This chocolate stop was also recognised as important by walkers from Dawson Hart who completed the same challenge.
Last year the trio from Ridgewood Post Office were covered in mud last year when they tackled Pretty Muddy, a 5km obstacle course, in aid of Cancer Research.
Ellen said they raised £558.11 this year thanks to loyal customers at the post office as well as friends and family. “We would like to say a big thank you to everyone that supported us.
