Part retrospective plans have been submitted to provide nine parking spaces in a parking area behind a property in Framfield Road, Uckfield.
The land behind 33 Framfield Road, which is divided into two flats, will be accessed between number 31 and 31A and electric gates will be fitted to prevent unauthorised entry.
A raised bed planter and wildflower space are included in the proposals.
A statement with the planning application, which is before Wealden Council says: “Careful consideration has been given to the design and appearance of the proposed parking area in order to fully integrate with the existing building and adjoining properties.
“It is clear the proposal is appropriate and sympathetic in relation to the existing building and surroundings, and that there will be no significant adverse effect on local amenities.
“The design of the proposed parking area is not contrary to the aim. Of conserving the landscape quality and character.”
33 Framfield Road is at the junction of Framfield Road with Harcourt Road, and Alexandra Road.
