Most of the songs on Freedom Bound are originals starting with riffs and expanded by the musicians and with singer Jane Pearce writing the lyrics.

Others in the band, with Alex and Jane, are Charlie Simpson, drums, and Steve Eveleigh, bass and backing vocals, although Mike Topp is gradually taking over bass role from Steve.

Freedom Bound also includes session musicians Darren Vassie on trumpet and Maik Pehrsson on keys.

Red Butler has built upon early successes which have included festival appearances and high profile support slots.

Later this year they will return to The Great British R&B Festival in Colne, this time appearing on The British Stage and also The Acoustic Stage.

Shortly afterwards they will appear at The 100 Club in London and January 2015 will see them perform at The Rock and Blues Festival at Skegness.

Red Butler were voted in Top 3 Best Newcomer Category – Writer’s Poll Blues Matters (Dec/Jan 2014) and have been included on a Krossborder Rekords Kompilation album and are now featured with other acts as part of the Krossborder Rekords Roadshow.
