A £40 million package of schemes with the potential of creating more than 26,000 jobs and building more than 17,000 new homes was announced yesterday by the South East Local Enterprise Partnership.
The South East LEP Full Board has approved an initial 12 projects across East Sussex, Essex, Kent and Medway into which it will direct support provided by the Government’s Growing Places Fund. The funding is designed to help push forward developments that may have stalled as a result of the financial climate to enable the creation of new jobs and homes.
The schemes include £7m to support phase three of the Priory Quarter business district in Hastings and £1.5m for North Queensway, Hastings.
