Missing Uckfield girl safe and well

Update at 1.50pm, January 26

Missing Uckfield teenager Elizabeth Wright has been found and is “safe and well”.

Sussex Police issued the following statement:

“Elizabeth Wright, 15, who was missing from her home in Uckfield, returned safe and well and was reunited with her parents on Tuesday afternoon (January 26).

Thanks to everyone who has been looking out for her and reporting sightings.”

Police said they had received a “brilliant response” to their appeal.

Fifteen-year-old Uckfield girl Elizabeth Wright has been reported missing after not being seen since Friday (January 22).

Elizabeth was last seen by family members at 8.45am when she was dropped off at school in Uckfield. She did contact her parents on Saturday to say that she was with friends in Jarvis Brook, but did not elaborate and it is believed that she may have spent the weekend in Brighton.

She is white, 5′ 9″, with short sandy-coloured straight brown hair. She is thought to be wearing a black parka jacket with a fur hood, black trainers with white stripe and maybe, skinny jeans.
