Plans to turn Framfield Road kitchen showroom and workshop into homes

Plans have been submitted to turn a kitchen showroom and office space in Framfield Road, Uckfield, into two three-bedroom houses.

A planning application also proposes redeveloping a workshop and store into a four-bedroom home.

The accommodation at 57 Framfield Road is occupied by Levick Jorgensen a business making bespoke, handmade kitchens.

The proposal was submitted to Wealden Council by Mr Nathan Levick of Levick Jorgensen. There is no mention of what will happen to the business.

A statement included with the planning application says the current traffic generation for the showroom, workshop and store are higher than the proposed residential use and there will be no net increase in the trip generation.

It adds: “On this basis the proposals will have no impact on the wider road network and in particular on the nearby Ashdown Forest.”
