Plans to revamp play area on Five Ash Down estate

Plans to revitalise a play area on the Ashdown Place development in Five Ash Down are before Wealden Council.

The proposal is to remove repetitive and under-used play equipment, in Ashengate Way, which was installed by the developer and install modern role play features specifically for the under-five age group.

Ashdown Park at Five Ash Down, which could be revamped if a plan before Wealden Council is approved.

The Ashdown Place residential management company, which has five directors living on the estate, say there are no other facilities available for the under-fives on the development or in the wider village.

The company wants to remove two out of three tunnels, level the land within the play area and install new grass.

Two new role play features, such as a playhouse and mini car would be installed.

The planning application number is WD/2020/0082/F and it can be found on the Wealden Council website. (You will have to accept a disclaimer before seeing the application).
