Trenches for ground source heating loops could be dug in this field at Framfield. Afterwards the land could revert to normal use.

Plans to install heating loops in Framfield field

Plans have been submitted to install a ground source heat pump and heating loops in a Framfield field.

The set up would provide a heat source for under-floor heating to ground floors and first floors of a house at Long Meadow Farm in Streele Lane. It would also provide all the domestic hot water.

The piping for the heat pump would be in a field next door to the house.

Five trenches, totalling 1700 metres, would be dug in the centre of the field and afterwards they would be filled in so that the land could still be used as previously.

Documents submitted with the planning application say the system is “quiet in operation, issues no emissions, is very safe, and requires very little maintenance”.

The plans, before Wealden Council, have been submitted by Mr Nigel Davies of Long Meadow Farm.
