Universal Dance is organising a choreography workshop in Maresfield in July and making plans for summer dance boot camps in Barcombe and Maresfield in August.
The choreography workshop is aimed at Year 7 to 13 GCSE and A-level dance students and designed to help young dancers find their own creative voice and embrace their identities as choreographers.
Lindsay Hay, principal of the organisation which runs classes around Uckfield and in Lewes, said; “It will also be ideal for students who are about to start studying dance at school or college.
“The participants will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of how to approach choreography in both contemporary and street dance and how to build a piece using their own choreographic ideas from the outset.”
The workshop will be held at Maresfield Village Hall on Monday, July 23, from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for a booking form.
The boot camps will run over four days, from Monday, August 6, to Thursday, August 9, and include street dance, creative dance, cheerleading, arts and crafts, quizzes and dance games.
