Pigstys could be converted to holiday let accommodation

Google Maps shows Home Farm, off the A26 at Herons Ghyll. Stables have already been converted to holiday let and the plan is to convert pigsties now.

Disused pigstys at a farm in Herons Ghyll could be converted into holiday let accommodation.

A planning application has been submitted to convert the pigstys, currently used for storage, into a one-bedroom unit.

The building is within the garden area at Home Farm where stables are already used for holiday let. That accommodation has Green Tourism Award Gold standard accreditation.

A statement with the planning application for the pigstys says: “An additional unit of holiday accommodation would give flexibility for lettings because larger groups can be accommodated. This may work well with local event venues.”

The statement says the building would be used for short stays.  Home Farm is already set up for this with laundry room and drying facilities.
