Passengers evacuated from bus at Framfield as fire breaks out

Passengers were evacuated from a bus at Hammonds Green, Framfield, yesterday when fire broke out in the bus engine.

Uckfield firefighters, who were called at 11.52am, used one hose reel to put out the blaze and then used an environmental pack to make the area safe while police assisted with traffic control.

According to the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service the fire crew left the scene at 1.13pm.
