Passenger numbers at Uckfield railway station continue to grow.
Figures for 2014/15 show an estimated 552,364 passengers entered and exited the station, writes Paul Watson.
The figure was 546,690 in 2013/14.
In 2009/10, the number of passengers entering and leaving the station was put at 336,860.
The latest rise continues a trend in increased use at Uckfield which began with the introduction of new trains on to the line in 2004 to replace ageing stock, known as Thumpers; so called because of the sound they made in service.
At Buxted, the estimated number of passengers using the station dropped in 2014/15 to 150,310 from 161,778 the previous year.
Figures for Crowborough show 399,962 passengers in 2014/15, down from 411,360 passengers the previous year.
