Parking time limits are changing in Uckfield car parks on Monday, October 5, the same day the new railway station car park is due to open.
Visitors will be able to stay, free of charge, for the following lengths of time:
- Luxford Field car park – maximum short stay section three hours, and mid stay ten hours
- Regency Close North car park – maximum stay ten hours
- Regency Close South car park – maximum stay three hours
The changes were agreed as part of The Wealden District Council (Off Street Car Parking Places) Order 2015 but it was decided not to implement them until the station car park opened.
Cllr Bob Standley, leader of Wealden Council and portfolio holder for governance and finance said: “The opening of the railway station car park in Uckfield will provide both additional car parking spaces in the town and also enable an increase in the number of short stay spaces in the Luxford Field car park which will benefit shoppers and shopkeepers alike.”
