Owners of The Highlands Inn are to open a third pub

The Ridley family, owners of The Highlands Inn, in Uckfield, and The Cock at Ringmer are taking on a third pub.

They will be opening at The Heathfield Tavern in Station Road, Heathfield, in early February. An exact date has yet to be confirmed.

Matt Ridley said the aim was to model the pub on The Highlands, offering family-friendly dining, a sports bar area, Sunday lunches, great beer, local ales, gins and spirits.

The pub was recently refurbished but is currently closed.

Chefs and waiting staff are sought for new venture. Anybody interested should send cvs to

Matt told Uckfield News: “We are super-excited to announce that The Heathfield Tavern will be the next pub to come under the Ridley Inns umbrella.

“After the huge success of The Highlands Inn we felt it was time to take on a new challenge.

“Pulling across some of the elements of The Highlands and The Cock we hope to make this new venture just as successful and look forward to seeing people there soon.”

A new Facebook page has just been launched for The Heathfield Tavern.
