This is Pandora who has been missing from her Buxted home since Friday, November 11. Have you seen her, possibly in the Buxted Park or Hempstead Fields area?

Owner appeals for help in finding missing Pandora

The owner of a black and white cat missing from Station Road, Buxted, for nearly a week is appealing for help in finding her.

Pandora is one year old and has been microchipped and spayed. She went missing on Friday, November 11.

Alannah Shearer said she and husband Chris have been urging people to check fields, sheds, garages, outhouses, unused rooms and to share details with anyone who lives in the area especially around both Buxted and Uckfield train stations, High Hurstwood, Hadlow Down or Uckfield.

She added: “I have been trying everything I can to find her on my own but I need help from Uckfield News readers to help me. There is so much land to cover and I need people’s assistance.”

Pandora responds if her name is called but also recognises Dora or Little Dory.

Alannah said: “Personally I feel she has headed towards Uckfield due to the fact that she has come home with a potent orange stain on her belly and legs and I have been told by others that this has most likely been from the iron in Buxted Park and Hempstead Fields, but I can’t rule anything out.”

Pandora is timid towards others and tends to run to Alannah when someone unfamiliar is introduced, so if she does approach others it is because she needs their attention.

Snug at home before she went missing – this is Pandora who lives in Station Road, Buxted.

“She loves being warm and having a good cuddle. She will answer to Pandora, but also comes to Dora, or Little Dory.

“My husband tells me our relationship is on a whole other level. I just love her to pieces and she is always by my side or at least announcing herself. Chris loves her just as much though and we bother just really want her home.”

If you can help with any information Alannah would be pleased to hear from you. She can be contacted on 07516 887895 or by email at
