Young dancers, singers and musicians from Uckfield’s Deborah Lamb Theatre School excelled themselves last week at festivals in Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne.
And there will be chance to see winning performances at a Show Encore which will be held on Saturday, March 22, at the Chequer Mead Arts Centre, East Grinstead, with performances at 1.30pm and 7.15pm.

Festival entrants from the Uckfield school were placed in most sections but school principal Deborah Lamb said the following results were particularly outstanding.
Amelia Jones: 1st (90 marks), modern solo, 15 years-and-under, at Tunbridge Wells, and 1st (89 marks) at Eastbourne festival.
Senior Team: 1st(90 marks), stage group, 21 years-and-under, with Own the Throne. The dancers were Amelia Jones, Eleri Jones, Ella Barden, Emily Muxworthy, Emily Owen, Erin Daniels, Gabby Conradie, Harriet Gilman, Jennifer Goff, Jessica Packham-Fernee, Laura Manvell, Sally Neve, Sophie Farrell, Sophie McKay-Smith.
Quartet: 1st (89 marks), modern, 21-years-and-under, Amelia Jones, Erin Daniels, Hattie Gilman & Ella Barden
Cally Callaghan: 1st for both her Character (86 marks) and Modern solo (88 marks), 11-years-and-under. Cally was also awarded the Cator cup for highest mark over seven classes. And at the Eastbourne Festival in Drama, 1st (88 marks) verse speaking, age 11 and 12, and 1st (88 marks) verse speaking bronze medal class aged under 15 years.
Fifi Bloomsbury-Khier: 1st (86 marks) at both Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne Festival in modern solo, seven years.
Lauren Woods: 1st (87 marks) modern solo, 12 years-and-under at Tunbridge Wells.
Joseph Burton and Holly Bingham: 1st (87 marks), modern duet, 15-years-and-under.
Joy Clark: 1st, solo singing, stage and musicals, under 12-years. Joy also won the Eastbourne Music Festival Award.
Eleri Jones: 1st (90 marks, honours) solo singing – recital, 15-17 years; 1st (88 marks, distinction) solo singing, 14 and 15 years; 1st (86 marks, distinction) solo singing – Lieder, 13 to 17 years; 2nd (87 marks, distinction) solo singing stage or film musicals, 15 to 17 years; 1st (90 marks) in woodwind trio and 3rd (87 marks) in woodwind solo.
Eleri has been asked to sing in the Festival Concert and she has also won the CMP recording prize for ‘most outstanding performer in solo singing’
Choreographers who helped dancers with their routines included: Amanda Schofield, Laura Farley and Deborah Lamb. The singing teachers were Katy Markey and James Anderson and the drama teacher was Shirley Stanwell.
Deborah Lamb thanked all teachers for their support and tremendous success.
Students from the Deborah Lamb Theatre School will be taking part in the Sussex Festival and Tonbridge Festival over the Easter holidays.
