The official opening of Selby Meadow, Uckfield, a community space created on land saved from development by neighbours, took place on Saturday.
Town councillor Dorothy Sparks cut the ribbon while mayor Cllr John Carvey and Cllr Alan Whittaker looked on.
Wild flowers have been planted to help the butterfly population, there's a bug hotel, hedgehog house, toad abode and bird boxes.
There's also a pathway through the meadow which can be accessed through a gap between Oakley Court and 48 Selby Road.
Thanks to Ron Hill for the photographs taken on Saturday.
