Nutley Primary School children pore over a map on the Ashdown Forest.
Children from Nutley Primary School have been learning about map-making and reading maps to help them to navigate a circular walk on the Ashdown Forest.
Year 5 and 6 pupils from Badger Class have worked with Rachel Bennington from High Weald Heroes on the project.
They compared maps of the local area, made their own maps for a treasure hunt, and used maps and compasses to navigate the walk on the Ashdown Forest.
Back in class with their teacher they made their own digital maps of the area using a programme called Inkscape.
