Number 1 Jubilee Cottages sells at auction for £186,000

The site of 1 Jubilee Cottages in Eastbourne Road, Uckfield, sold at auction for £186,000 on Wednesday.

It was described as: “A site with potential for reinstatement of a semi-detached house, or a detached house subject to requisite consents in a pleasant rural location convenient for the amenities of Uckfield. Vacant.”

It was reported by Uckfield News yesterday that building control officials visited the dilapidated cottages after residents reported safety concerns.

Wealden Council said East Sussex Building Control Partnership attended the site and the initial view was that whilst the site was untidy it was “not considered an immediate threat to life or health and safety”.
