Former public lavatories on the Luxford car park, Uckfield, may be given a new use.
Businesses or individuals will be able to seek a licence from Wealden District Council to use the premises for what the council described as “other purposes”.
Other former loos on the banks of the River Uck, near the river bridge, have been sold by the council.
A council spokesman said the building had been sold with, it was understood, a “view to being converted for other use”.
He said it was not possible for the council to say who had bought the premises.

There are no public lavatories in Uckfield now. The council runs a community toilet scheme where certain premises allow their lavatories to be used by the public.
