Scrub and trees have been cleared from the site of a proposed new car park in Uckfield town centre.
The work has been carried out to allow surveyors to see the extent of the site so that it can be accurately measured.
The land, opposite the current railway station, is planned for a 100+ car park for rail commuters. The site is now owned by Network Rail.
An article published on Travel and Tour World puts the price at £1 million. You can read the article here
Once permission is given for the car park, work is due to take place later this year as part of the Uckfield town centre improvements.
These will see major changes to the High Street and the bus station.
