Restaurant and wedding venue Barnsgate Manor, at Herons Ghyll, just outside Uckfield, has welcomed a new head chef and unveiled a new look for its restaurant.
Gone are curtains and table cloths and the space now has a fresher and more contemporary look.
Changes also mean that guests can enjoy dinner in the restaurant four nights a week as well as lunch seven days a week.
Head chef Iain More brings with him the experience of working in restaurants with three rosettes, and with celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager.
He is looking forward to launching his own menus in January but for now is pleased to be extending the offering at Barnsgate to include evening dining from Wednesday to Saturday.
The restaurant fare includes something for everyone, from tender meat and fish dishes to original vegan and vegetarian plates.
Gary Mitchell, Barnsgate Manor’s operations manger said: “We are delighted to open our new look restaurant and welcome a new head chef.
“The Barnsgate team is looking forward to welcoming new and regular guests to come and try his incredible food and enjoy the new surroundings in our restaurant as we make Barnsgate Manor the number one venue of choice in the area.”
As well as serving lunch and dinner, Barnsgate Manor is the wedding and civil partnership venue of choice for couples from across the area.
From small weddings to those with 200 guests, Barnsgate provides everything couples are looking for on their special day.
The venue also hosts its own events throughout the year and has just announced its Christmas Party nights and Christmas Day lunch menus, as well a Peaky Blinders New Years Eve Party.
There is something for the kids too this half term, with a “Frozen” themed fancy dress lunch where kids can meet the ice queen herself.
