A new estate agency has opened in Uckfield. It is View Homes, an independent family business, based at 166 High Street.
It is run by Kane Caulfield and his partner Amber Ali, supported by Amber’s property solicitor mother Sue Warwick.
The trio chose Uckfield saying the premises are in the perfect place and this is the right time to bring something different to the mix of estate agents in the town.
Kane, who has sold homes all over Sussex in Eastbourne, Polegate, Hailsham, Alfriston, Brighton, as well as Haywards Heath, and Burgess Hill, said they love Uckfield and its High Street which has a good range of shops that don’t stay empty for very long.
He added: “It is a great place to live, and popular with home buyers, from those wanting to move within the town and those from outside the area looking for a better lifestyle.”
View Homes will focus on marketing homes in Uckfield and surrounding villages and is encouraging people to test its service by offering competitive fees backed up by contracts that do not tie vendors in for a lengthy period.
To start with they are asking people give them two weeks to make an impact with marketing their property.
When established View Homes aims to keep the legal commitment to stay with them to a minimum. They won’t be demanding the 18-20 week period that some agents insist on.
“If people aren’t happy with the work their agent does then it’s in no one’s interests to force them to stay. We hope to show we can do a good job from the off,” said Amber.
One ace up this agent’s sleeve may be that Amber’s mother Sue, an estate agent turned property lawyer, is part of the team. Sue explained that the capacity of many lawyers to take on new conveyancing work has been significantly compromised by the rush of transactions brought on by the stamp duty holiday.
“At the moment, it can be difficult to find a lawyer once a sale is agreed,” she added. “What I can offer is a commitment to prioritise our View Homes clients, if they wish to instruct me, and work with Kane and Amber to get the sale completed quickly.”
Mortgage advice is also on hand. In fact, Kane says the aim is to offer a comprehensive property sales service. “We want to offer customers everything they need to get their property successfully sold,” he added.
Kane says they will offer a high quality, bespoke service: Professional quality photographs, designed to show off homes at their best, and high-quality floor plans. “Our marketing approach,” he said, “is to constantly review what works, updating details and photographs to highlight different aspects of a property to appeal to the broadest range of buyers.
They will market property on Rightmove, Zoopla, Prime Location, and on social media, as well as the View Homes website.
