New arbor at Highlands Inn nearly finished

A new arbor at The Highlands Inn, Uckfield, is nearly finished providing an additional seating area in front of the pub.

All that is needed is new round tables, chairs, sofas and sail cloth which will cover part of the woodwork.

Ian Ridley, whose family runs the pub and The Cock at Ringmer, can be seen above, seated within the arbor.

He is looking forward to next year’s Uckfield Blues and Roots Festival saying the new area will provide great staging for the acts.

Work on the arbor was begun after completion of a new disabled access and another seating area on the other side of the pub entrance. The next task will be providing a new car park, says Ian.
