An organisation that provides care and support for adults with learning disabilities is to open a shop selling new and secondhand goods in Uckfield.
The Pepenbury Group is taking over 73 High Street, premises formerly occupied by New Waves hairdressers. They plan to use the ground floor as a shop and the first floor as a training centre.
The building is in a parade of shops set back from the High Street near the old Post Office building.
Lawson Commercial partner Chris Lawson said the Pepenbury Group was established in the 1920s and has a number of shops already in Kent but this is their first in East Sussex.
Mr Lawson said: “I am pleased that a business from outside the area has chosen to come to Uckfield raising money for their worthy care work.”
