There will be a free screening in Uckfield on Tuesday of an award-winning documentary showing how music can help dementia sufferers.

The film is called Alive Inside and explores music’s capacity to reawaken our souls and uncover the deepest part of our humanity, according to one of the promoters who adds: “The filmmakers chronicle astonishing experiences of dementia sufferers revitalised through listening to music.”

The screening is being hosted by NHS High Weald Lewes Havens at Uckfield Civic Centre. Attendance is open to everyone and there is no need to book.

The doors open at 5pm with a guest speaker Jo White from Musicians in Hwealthcare speaking at 5.30pm. The film will begin at 5.50pm and is about 75 minutes long. There will be an opportunity to talk afterwards.
