A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision last night at Clayhill on the A26 between Uckfield and Lewes, according to police.
Police said the collision involved a white Nissan Primastar van and a red Honda CBF600 motorcycle outside the service station at Clayhill.
The van driver, a 46-year-old man from Ringmer, suffered minor injuries, but the motorcyclist, a 59-year-old man, also from Ringmer, sustained serious injuries, including a broken pelvis.
Two teenage girls who were passengers in the van were unhurt.
The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance attended but both casualties were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, by land ambulance.
Police said they would like to thank motorists for their patience while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Anyone who saw the collision is asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org, or phone 101, quoting Operation Brevitt.
