More than £2,000 was raised for nine charities by Dawson Hart Solicitors who took part in Will Aid 2020.
Members of the private client department at Dawson Hart, in Church Street, Uckfield, gave up time and expertise to draw up wills while the charities received donations towards their work.
The Dawson Hart team included: Lisa Hills Tagg, solicitor; Elizabeth Mitchell, solicitor; Jenny Mayhew solicitor and director; Julie Binge, senior legal executive; and Laura Manton solicitor and director.
The charities benefiting are: Action Aid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund, Sightsavers, and Trocaire, an Irish charity striving to overcome the challenges of poverty and injustice in the developing world.
Will Aid is a British charity will-writing scheme designed to reinforce the need for everyone to have a professionally drawn-up will and to raise funds for their partner charities.
Will Aid was founded in 1988 following the example set by Band Aid and Live Aid and continues to run each November.
The organisation said: “Every donation raised makes a real difference to the work of their partner charities, so thank you so much again for your support despite such extenuating circumstances.”
