More than 100 children enjoy charity Easter egg hunt

More than 100 children and their families enjoyed a charity Easter egg hunt organised by Dawson Hart Solicitors on Friday.

They were greeted at Uckfield Rugby Club by an Easter bunny who handed out chocolate eggs, had their faces painted, won prizes on the tombola and turned their hand to crafts.

There was also an inflatable slide, ice-cream to eat, and music too.

All set for a charity Easter egg hunt organised by Dawson Hart Solicitors.

Prizes included tickets donated by The Picture House, Uckfield, and afternoon tea at the Lansdowne Hotel, Eastbourne.

There was also a giant teddy to be won, and a gravity defying sweetie cake for the person who guessed the number of sweets correctly.

Dawson Hart Solicitors are raising money for Hospice in the Weald which provides care free of charge to patients with a terminal illness, and supports their families and carers in West Kent, and Northern East Sussex.

Laura Manton, director of Dawson Hart said: “It was a great success as we raised more than £1,000 for the hospice and we were able to have some fun too. Seeing families enjoying their time together and making the most of the sun was lovely to see.”

Laura said she was grateful to everyone who donated their time and services free of charge. She thanked Peter Oliver Estate Agents for sponsoring the event, customers of Tesco who donated eggs,  and people from Uckfield Rugby Club and Dawson Hart who helped make the event possible.

‘High five’ says the Easter bunny.
