Three hairdressers, from Academy of Hair in Uckfield, successfully completed a 15,000 ft sky dive on Saturday.
The faces of Natalie Edwards, Nate Stagg, and Nadine Dale, say it all. Not only have they achieved an ambition but they have raised about £800 for charity.
Even Natalie Edwards who was terrified to be taking part, and was hypnotised beforehand to keep her nerves, vertigo and motion sickness under control, was smiling as she fell through the air, see top picture.
The first drop from the aeroplane produced a different picture though … that looks like shock, see below. Check out the instructor’s face too.
Natalie told Uckfield News afterwards: “I enjoyed it and wasn’t scared of the height which was all a bit surreal … but vertigo got the better of me at the bottom.”
Funds raised through the sky dive will go to St Wilfrid’s Hospice in memory of a close friend and customer of Sharon Blackford who also works at the salon and who was unable to take part in the sky dive because of a shoulder injury.
The same charity will benefit from Christmas fund-raising at Academy of Hair and a raffle is under way with lots of prizes donated by local businesses.
Please call in at the salon if you would like to boost funds raised through the sky dive or buy raffle tickets.
