Maresfield football club is looking for new players

Maresfield Village Football Club is looking for new players, male and female over the age of 16, to join them for the coming season.

The club is also looking for three managers for its men's teams playing on Saturday afternoons in the Mid Sussex League, one intermediate standard and two junior teams.

The club, which won the Mid Sussex Premier League title in 2011, claims to have one of the best pitches in Sussex, its own club house with bar, television and hot food available.

Transport from Uckfield to Maresfield for home games can also be provided.

As well as the three men's teams playing on a Saturday the club also has a successful ladies team, which plays in the Sussex County League and a veterans team. Both those teams play on Sundays.

Training is at Uckfield Rugby Club from 6.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and begins next Tuesday, July 3, for the men and Thursday, July 5, for the ladies.

To learn more please contact club secretary Terry Gee on 01825 749640 or email or just turn up to join in with the training.
