Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White hosted a Champagne and oyster party at the Chequers Inn, Maresfield, yesterday.
The party marked the opening of the new Tap Room and Oyster Bar with its own special menu.
Hors d'oeuvres range from half a dozen rock oysters at £9.50 to kipper pate with whisky and melba toast at £5.50.
Mains include fried haddock, triple cooked chips and mushy peas, cottage pie and buttered peas and salmon fish cake with spinach, poached egg and sauce tartare each at £12.50.
Alternatives include scampi, triple cooked chips and sauce tartare, or shrimp curry a la Indienne with rice served for £10.50.
