Marketing Expo coming up at East Sussex National

Sixty businesses are expected to exhibit at a Marketing Expo being held at East Sussex National Resort on Thursday, March 21.

There will be plenty of parking and the event will run from 10am-3pm, providing a great opportunity to network.

Speakers will include host Sonny Cutting, founder of Net XP and Sussex Pages; film maker Mick Dawson; managing director of Egg Media Jonty Egginton, and CEO of Kart Company Harry Daymond.

Day spa opens in Uckfield today

Spa Therapy, a new day spa in Uckfield opens its doors to the public today (Friday).

There will be chance to meet the owners, have a look around and enjoy nibbles and Prosecco between 2-6pm.

More open days are being held at the spa, at 148a High Street, tomorrow, from 10am-2pm and on Sunday, 11am-2pm.

Cube Self Storage presents toys to children’s hospice

Cube Self Storage which asked people to bring unwanted toys to their Uckfield premises during January have now presented donations to Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.

Following the success of the Big Toy Drop campaign the self storage business, in Bell Lane, is hoping to do more this year to help the charity, which cares for children, with life-shortening conditions, and their families.

Manager Rod Payne said they were overwhelmed by the support of members of the public who donated toys. “It goes to show what a caring community we have,” he said.

Get your Comic Relief jester classes at Specsavers

Red jester glasses are available at Specsavers in the run up to Red Nose Day which takes place on Friday, March 15.

Uckfield Chamber’s ‘lunch and learn’ sessions start today

The first in a series of ‘lunch and learn’ sessions planned by Uckfield Chamber of Commerce is due to take place today (Friday).

It will be held from 11.15am to 1.30pm and will focus on social media.
