Long service awards for two Uckfield Lions

Two members of the Uckfield Lions Club have been presented with long service awards.

They are David Egginton, a member for 30 years, and Lynne Ireland, 25 years.

The awards were presented at a charter lunch attended by 80 peope at Barnsgate Manor.

Among the guests were district governor Jackie Robinson, who presented the awards, and Uckfield Mayor Cllr Louise Eastwood.

Jackie commended all the work the Lions do in the community and thanked them for helping with a district convention held at East Sussex National.

Cllr Eastwood also presented the Lions with a thank you letter from the Queen.
