Staverton Nursery at Halland is allowed to open as normal during the second Coronavirus lockdown.
The nursery has recently taken delivery of hedging of all varieties including rural bare root hedging in bundles of Hornbeam, Hawthorn, Beech, Spindle, Privet, Blackthorn, Dogwoods, Dog Rose, Regosa Rose, Field Maple, and Guelder Rose.
Yew and Laurel are among other varieties of hedging available.
And the nursery is fully stocked with Christmas decorations and lights, food and sweet treats.
Something for Everyone
Something for Everyone has learned it is allowed to stay open during the lockdown. The shop is classified as ‘essential’ falling into many exempt categories.
These include: cleaning products, PPE, pet and bird food, toiletries and personal hygiene products, DIY products, batteries, food and beverage items.
In line with current guidelines, they do not have to limit sales to these products.
All stock including storage boxes, Christmas baubles, lights, and tinsel, can be sold.

Karen Bedwell Chiropodist/Podiatrist
As an essential medical service the clinic of Karen Bedwell Chiropodist/Podiatrist will stay open with Covid-secure procedures in place during lockdown.
Patients will be seen in order dependent on clinical need. Strict social distancing guidelines and the use of PPE by practitioner and patient will be in operation.
All appointments will be spaced out to allow the clinic and all touch points to be sanitised before the next patient is allowed into the clinic area.
Clinic hours are:
Tuesday 8.30am – 5pm
Wednesday 8.30am – 5pm
Thursday 8.30am – 5pm

PP Estates aims to remain open under the new guidelines. The business is welcoming contactless collection and delivery of service work, and free delivery of new machinery to the local area.
It says stocks will inevitably be affected but it will strive to work around shortages.

Uckfield Yoga Studio
Uckfield Yoga Studio will be offering many of its classes online via Zoom during lockdown and you can see a timetable of those you are welcome to join on the studio’s website.
Studio owner Grace Annand says: “Please stop by to find a bit of calm amidst the chaos, a respite from worry, and a space to connect to ourselves and to others. And, of course, to have a good stretch.”

The Diane Hutt Gallery is open online with free delivery on all artworks.
If you are looking for a special gift visit the Diane Hutt Gallery website or browse the art in the gallery windows. A contact and collect service, or free local delivery, will run alongside the online business.

One to one meetings with customers, within the gallery and the gallery’s picture framing service are suspended until December 2, in line with Government guidelines for non-essential businesses.

Carvills is offering a secure contact and collect service, with the option of free delivery, during lockdown.
If you have recently seen something you thought you might pop back for, or if you have an item in mind but are not able to get into the shop please get in touch. The Carvills team will take photos of any options available and send them to you for consideration.
If you would like to buy presents for birthday or Christmas and would like them wrapped please say so at the time of payment and they can be wrapped ready for collection.

The team at SG Home Interiors will be working during lockdown Monday to Friday with its doors closed and be pleased to sell items via phone or email.
Virtual tours can be arranged for anyone wishing to brows the showroom during lockdown and a delivery service will be available for anyone not able to collect locally.

Paws n Claws Pet Shop in Olives Yard, deemed essential, will open its usual hours 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.
Owner Justine Aldridge will be offering a free local delivery service on all orders over £20 – though there will be a small delivery fee for out of Uckfield.
All deliveries will be on the same day if ordered before 1pm, except on Tuesdays when they will be delivered on Wednesday.
Justine pleads: “Please, please support us and don’t turn to online big companies, shop local, and keep small independent shops going.”

The Picture House cinema is closed but the restaurant will be open for click and collect takeaways.

Best Health Food Shop, near Uckfield railway station, will remain open throughout lockdown as it is classed as essential.
The shop will continue to offer everything as usual in store along with delivery and collection where needed.
Osteopathy for All
Osteopathy for All at East Hoathly will stay open during lockdown. It is classed as an essential service and is continuing with robust cleaning protocols, PPE and pre-screening to help keep patients safe during appointments.

R A Blackford will continue to be open throughout the lockdown period.
The business, in Cobdown Lane, Five Ash Down, has large stocks of coal and smokeless fuels, as well as seasoned logs and kindling.
It also has organic compost, mulch and soil conditioner in stock.

The Highlands Inn
The Highlands Inn will be doing a delivery or collection service throughout November.
The pub will be doing delivery as normal this weekend – Friday and Saturday night 4pm till 8:30pm and Sunday 12-6pm.

Ashdown Steel and Ashdown Reinforcing which are both based in Isfield Road, Ringmer, will remain open, with extra Coronavirus safety measures in place, during lockdown.
Both businesses are part of the construction industry which is allowed to stay open.

The Red Amber Green driving school has been informed that all driving lessons and tests are to be suspended in England because of the second Coronavirus lockdown.
The Olive Sanctuary, a complementary health studio in Olives Yard, is to email anyone who has appointments during lockdown.
It is asking people, if they are able, to support them by booking post lockdown appointments, purchasing a gift voucher, purchasing one of their products, reading their newsletters or following them on social media.
Nose2Tail Family Butchers
Nose2Tail Family Butchers at Piltdown will be open as usual and asks people not to panic, there is nothing wrong with their supply of meat.
They will be offering a delivery service and orders must be placed only by calling 01825 509164.
Two people are allowed in their shop at any time and masks must be worn.
