The location of the bus stop in the re-modelled Uckfield Community Hospital car park is now clear.
Workmen have moved the shelter to its new location next to the northern end of the building.
Bringing the stop nearer to the hospital was one of the key aims of the work. It will be no longer be “lost” in a sea of parked cars.
The works will mean that there will be six fewer parking spaces than originally provided when the hospital opened in 1994.
However, those spaces are nowadays not accessible to drivers because they have been used for storage units.
Works may cause disruption to parking and are expected to last another nine weeks.
Uckfield Community Hospital is also home to the town’s Bird in Eye doctors’ surgery.
