Local NHS is recruiting a governor

Governors are sought to represent Uckfield and other East Sussex towns on the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

They will play a role in shaping the future of community services across Sussex, helping the trust to understand the needs of the local population and give voice to the communities it serves.

There is one seat up for election covering Uckfield, Crowborough, Heathfield, Lewes, Newhaven, and Peacehaven.

Trust chair, Peter Horn said: “Governors come from all walks of life, with a wide variety of skills and experience. So if you are passionate about the NHS and want to help plot its course over the coming years, then you could be just the sort of person we are looking for.”

Mr Horn added: “On behalf of everyone at the trust, I would like to thank our outgoing governors. They have served Sussex Community and the wider public diligently since their election in 2015, I wish them all the very best for the future.”

The trust provides a range of community services in people’s own homes, in clinics, GP surgeries and hospitals across Sussex.

If you are passionate about the health and wellbeing of people and would like to help shape the future direction of the Trust, please visit the trust’s website for full details or call 01273 696011 ext. 1520.

Applications close on Monday, February 4, at 5pm.
