Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance flies in to help Uckfield man

An Uckfield man was taken to hospital on Saturday (July 9) afternoon after the Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance landed on The Dene, on the Manor Park Estate.

The man had head, neck and arm injuries.

The air ambulance was called to reports that a patient had been exposed to fire and smoke.

South East Coast Ambulance service took the man to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. He was also accompanied by the doctor and paramedic from the air ambulance.

The air ambulance is an independent charitable healthcare provider working with the ambulance service. It is not part of the NHS and is funded almost entirely by voluntary donations. Find out more here
