KC News business sold as going concern

KC News, the newsagent and convenience store near Grange Road in Uckfield High Street has been sold as a going concern.

The sale has been handled by Oldfield Smith and Co with a premium payment agreed close to the asking price, according to director Richard Oldfield.

Richard said the buyers are a local couple who have also taken over the current lease. Stock was transferred on completion today.

The shop has an overall area of 28.6 sq m with a rear stockroom/office of 7.6 sq m and a lobby leading to a cloackroom.

The business trades as a newsagents also selling tobacco, sweets, food and drink, household essentials, lottery, parcel pick up and delivery.

Kevin Comar refurbished the shop opened it as KC News in June 2014.  Before that it was A & A News.
