Rix & Kay solicitors have appointed Equity Partner and Head of Corporate, Kathryn Paisley, to its strategic board.
The firm says Kathryn’s appointment bolsters its Board and underlines its commitment to promoting outstanding talent from within the business.
Kathryn joined Rix & Kay, who have offices in Uckfield, Ashford, Brighton and Hove, Seaford, and Sevenoaks, in 2015, initially as a solicitor, following a career break to raise her family.
Part of her role on the Board is to ensure delivery of the firm’s five-year business plan, which she has been instrumental in developing.
Central to that plan is for Rix & Kay to be the legal employer of choice in the South East.
Kathryn said: “Naturally, I’m delighted to have been asked to join Rix & Kay’s Strategic Board and be part of a great team that has some very exciting plans for the future.
“I have been, and remain, proud to be part of an organisation that has a real desire to embrace career paths and life decisions that do not necessarily ‘fit the mould’.
“Rix & Kay has always had a common-sense approach to recruiting and retaining the best possible people in a way that suits both the firm and the individual concerned.”
Before taking her career break, Kathryn trained and worked for many years for two major City of London law firms.
As Head of Corporate at Rix & Kay, Kathryn leads a team of four partners, three solicitors and a trainee solicitor.
Her practice is primarily transactional in nature, and she represents clients across a broad range of sectors. Her expertise is principally in mergers and acquisitions as well as the establishment of joint ventures and the drafting of company constitutional documents.
