Jonny the donkey joins Uckfield children in nativity play

Donkey Jonny was star of the show when children at Manor Primary School, Uckfield, performed a nativity play for parents yesterday.

The Key Stage 1 children, aged between four and seven, were happy to act with Jonny who looked comfortable in his role parading around the playground stage when needed.

The only time he looked startled was when applause started at the end of the production but he enjoyed chunks of apples fed to him regularly as a reward for his efforts.
